APRIL 9th 2022 – LBCC/LBCA Cannabis 102 Workshop – Cannabis Business Law – Register Now! 

Business Law is a a 5-hour Cannabis Legal Formation to Exit supplemental 102 workshop goes beyond the review covered in the 101 series and takes students through an in-depth overview of cannabis state and local licensing and permitting; formations; financings; key business terms and concepts; exits; intellectual property; and labor and employment. 

APRIL 16th 2022 – LBCC/LBCA Cannabis 102 Workshop – HR & Workforce – Register Now! 

HR & Workforce is a 2.5 hour workshop that goes beyond the review covered in the 101 series and takes students through an in-depth overview of working in and/or of operating a business within the cannabis space. Outlining the importance of operating and working within a relatively new industry, the goal is to provide a program for individuals who want to develop or enhance their knowledge of the cannabis space from a human resource and workforce development perspective. 

Topics include: Hiring, Career Planning and Advancement; Workforce development, training and growth, both as an employee and business owner; working as a manger, importance of understanding the Cannabis Industry as a whole; the importance of developing HR guidelines and protocols; creating and implementing a plan and setting goals; and creating and working for a company that stands out gives back and makes a statement.

APRIL 23rd 2022 – LBCC/LBCA Cannabis 102 Workshop – Distribution: Cannabis Taxes – Register Now!

Cannabis taxes is a 2.5 hour workshop that covers goes beyond the review of cannabis distribution regulations covered in the 101 series and takes students through the invoicing process of various cannabis distribution transactions as well as the collection and remittance processes of California state taxes. The workshop provides an in-depth overview of wholesale transactions to other distributors, Wholesale to Retail transactions, while reviewing the Cultivation Tax, Excise Tax as well as City, State and Federal Taxes. Students take a deep dive into good accounting practices and business record keeping for students interested in Cannabis Distribution as well as all other license types.

May 7th 2022 – LBCC/LBCA Cannabis 102 Workshop – Cultivation: Facilities & Methods – Register Now!

Cultivation, Facilities and Methods is a 3 hour workshop that goes beyond the review covered in the 101 series and takes students an overview of the foundations needed to build and open a commercial cultivation, including room planning, equipment options, and plant maintenance schedules. The workshop will take an in-depth view into root zones, nutrients, and integrated pest management (IPM) including pesticides and molds. 

May 14th 2022 – LBCC/LBCA Cannabis 102 Workshop – Study of Cannabis History, Altered States & Social Equity – Register Now! 

War on Drugs: Cannabis Policy is a 2.5 hour supplemental workshop that goes beyond the review covered in the 101 series and guides students through the War on Drugs & Cannabis Policies and discusses the harm reduction movement. Students will have a better understanding of the history of cannabis policies; public health & punitive approaches to illicit drug use and addiction; dialogue around cannabis use, drug policy, and drug culture; and the connection between communities, the war on drugs, mental illness, addiction/recovery policies, and harm reduction. 

May 21st 2022 – LBCC/LBCA Cannabis 102 Workshop – Manufacturing: Infusions – Register Now!

Manufacturing: Infusions is a 3 hour workshop that goes beyond the review covered in the 101 series and takes students through an in-depth overview of working in and/or owning a Manufacturing Infusion business and the process of creating a product from vision to shelf.

Students will have an understanding of the manufacturing infusions process; state and local compliancy and inspections process; compliant packaging and labeling from conception to retail; and necessary planning and organization to sustain compliancy

May 21st 2022 – LBCC/LBCA Cannabis 102 Workshop – Manufacturing: Extractions – Register Now!

Manufacturing: Extractions is a 2.5 hour workshop that goes beyond the review covered in the 101 series and takes students through an in-depth overview of the complications involved with facility selection/build-out, sourcing products, and operating the extraction hardware.

This workshop seeks to educate from a realistic standpoint, rather than the “perfect day” outlooks that are typical in dealing with equipment salespeople, realtors, and biomass wholesalers. This will provide a practical outlook for the professionals who are hoping to move into extraction and/or understand more about the day-to-day operations of Cannabis rendering.

June 4th 2022 – LBCC/LBCA Cannabis 102 Workshop – Testing Labs: Applied Science – Register Now!

Testing Labs: Applied Science is a 5-hour lab testing supplemental 102 workshop that goes beyond the review covered in the 101 series. The workshop takes students through an in-depth overview of how lab analysis is utilized by the industry to provide proper data and how this information can be used beyond simple batch information. 

The workshop will highlight the relationship to Cannabis processing, avoiding pitfalls (such as contaminants and chemical boundaries), and real-world research, which will benefit multiple avenues of Cannabis cultivation/manufacturing.

The Cannabis 102 workshops can be taken together for increased knowledge in several topical areas related to the cannabis industry.*
